B. Review your slides using the arrow keys. Make revisions here and click the Preview button again to create a revised presentation.

STEP TWO: Narrate Your Slides

TIP: Do not try for perfection. The goal is simply to give an overview of the research.
TIP: Sound energentic, this will get viewers interested in the research. Placement of your microphone is important.
TIP: Though the abstract should be short (up to 5 minutes) you do not have to rush. Simply tell viewers about the most interesting aspects of the project.

A. Start the recorder using the button below.

B.  When the recorder box appears, resize the box to capture your full browser window. If you do not have the latest version of Java you may have to download it first.

C.  Come back on the We Share Science tab in your browser, and click on the Start Slides button below.

D.  The recorder box now appears on top of your first slide, and you can start recording your abstract by clicking the red-circle record button. It will record your voice and slides at the same time.

D.  Use the arrow keys to forward your slides.

E. Hit the Done (X) button to stop the recording. You can re-record the video if you are not pleased with it.

F.  Publish (save) the video as an MP4 file on your Desktop.

1. Turn on Recorder

Note: The recorder uses Java so you may have to accept the warning that the website is starting a Java Applet.

STEP THREE: Send to YouTube

When you have finished recording, you should upload the video to your YouTube account. Unfortunately YouTube no longer supports letting you upload the video to the Needs Assessment account.

STEP FOUR: Pin the Video on Needs Assessment Lessons

A. Go to your YouTube account and click on your recently submitted video.

B. Copy the URL (web address) of our video from the top of your browser.

C. Click on the Share Existing button at the top of the Needs Assessment Lessons website, and select Add Pin.

D. Paste in the URL (web address) of your YouTube video.
